Kentucky Downs

I Play Exacta Boxes

In races with 3 selections the total cost will be $6 for a $1 bet In races with 4 selections the total cost will be $12 for a $1 bet

The Win Candidates are in order from our top pick to our fourth (or third).

However, we root for the two biggest prices to run 1st and 2nd as it helps our payoffs in our exacta boxes. It does not matter to me if it is our top pick or our fourth- I am trying to make money!

If you have any questions just let me know,

Tom – [email protected]

Selections 2-3-10-6 Rating ⭐⭐

#2 Rum ‘n Tonic-trainer Maker again whom we may have just cashed on. This colt missed by only 2 in his debut while racing over this course last year. He has the speed to be close from the start and Maker has started this short meet hot.

#3 Shipman-broke slow from the #12 post last out but rallied to miss by only 3 in third going a mile. He cuts back in distance, runs for 15% winning trainer and will be a good price.

#10 Derivative-missed by a neck in his debut then came off a 13 month layoff for his second start and missed by only 4 in 5th in a key race in which the top two finishers both came back to win. This one obviously needed that one and should improve.

#6 Truly Mischief-is coming off his career best while missing by only 2 in 4th while beating our third pick in the same key race last out. This gelding is improving and should run into the payoffs.

Selections 4-7-6-5 Rating ⭐⭐

#4 Romancer-drew off to break his maiden by 6 then switched to the turf and has finished second in back to back including last out in a 500k stake in his first start over this course. He is coming off a 11 month layoff but is working well for his return and finds an easier field.

#7 Martini’nmoonshine-came off a 10 month layoff and missed by only 3 ¾ last out against a good field at Saratoga. He runs for 21% winning trainer, shows a fast work since his last race and should be a decent price.

#6 Dominican Pioneer-325k runner from the Ward barn got the money in his debut then finished 6th in back to back while catching muddy tracks both times. He switches to the turf today and will be a big price.

#5 Sense Shines– also from the Ward barn this gelding broke his maiden in his only start by 3 lengths. He is coming off a bullet work at Keeneland and will show speed.
