•Keeneland’s fall meet used to end relatively quietly, with the Fayette being the only stakes on the back end. • However, a combined five stakes on the last two days of the meet have given added meaning to one of Keeneland’s most high-profile meets of the year. • The $200,000 Bowman Mill and $300,000 Bryan Station are clear examples of this circuit’s rapid ascent. • In Saturday’s Bryan Station (a Grade 3 turf mile for 3-year-olds), Wit (trained by Todd Pletcher) is among a core of lukewarm favorites in an evenly matched field. A victory for Wit would be a fitting end to an outstanding meet for Pletcher. • Classic Causeway (trained by Kenny McPeek) and Ready to Purrform (trained by Brad Cox) are also logical plays in Saturday’s race. • In the Bowman Mill (a six-furlong race for 2-year olds), Sir Lancelot will get tested for class when he puts his 2-for2 record on line against six others.

#2 General Jim-finished third in his debut on the main track at Saratoga then switched to the turf, stretched out and rallied to get the money by a head. This 850k colt is bred to be a champ and is coming off a fast work here.
#12 Rarified Flair-missed by only 4 last out in a grade 2 over this course. The draw did not do her any favors but the good start here is an advantage.
#6 Our Dream Rye’d-broke slow but rallied to miss by just 4 ¾ over the turf here in the same grade 2 our second pick exits. She will come running late again today and could get into the payoffs.
#10 Mendel’s Secret-went wire to wire in his debut last out. He will show speed and could prove tough to catch if left alone up front.

•Rich Strike returned to the track with a gallop, alleviating concerns that something might be amiss with the Kentucky Derby winner heading into the $6 million Breeders’ Cup Classic.• Trainer Eric Reed said Rich Strike is fine and will be on a regular early morning gallop pattern up to the Breeders’ Cup.
Breeders Cup Friday Works:
Wonder Wheel, leading contender for Juvenile Fillies, worked an easy half-mile in 25.07 seconds and 48.89 before galloping out five-eighths in 1:02.15• Golden Pal, defending Turf Sprint champion, breezed over a grass course officially listed as good but which may have been a little south of that• Todd Pletcher had four juveniles working immediately after both the first and second renovation breaks
Mo Stash worked over the main track, breaking off nearly seven lengths behind his mate before readily making up the ground and holding a slight edge to the wire after five furlongs in 36.66 and 1:00.69.• Be Your Best was more in maintenance mode, cruising an easy half-mile in 26.40 and 50.57, picking up the pace some at the end without undue pressure• FORTE and LOST ARK went four furlongs in 24.49 and 48.81 respectively, each lightly urged to finish before sustaining good momentum on the gallop-out• CHOCOLATE GELATO AND ATOMICALLY crawled away from then half mile pole completing a maintenance like half mile in 50:11 then did arguably their best running during gallop out shading 26 going another quarter mile around sweeping clubhouse turn • RAGING SEA AND FREE LOOK put in an easy half mile 24:93 and 48:69 respectively finishing well while never asked for their best at any point
